This is one person's project — me. I've got a thing for digital hoarding, a soft spot for fabric and clothes-scratching ASMR, and I got tired of watching videos quietly vanish from my own YouTube playlists: banned channels, deleted uploads, gone without a trace. And since vibecoding turned out to be quite cool, here we are.
And, honestly, I'd quite like this niche to get bigger rather than smaller. If putting out a directory of channels in one place helps more people find them, and that leads to more people making more of this stuff, then that's a pretty good outcome from where I'm sitting. I also know I haven't found everything, so if you're sitting there thinking "how the hell is that channel not on here?", let me know: here's a form.
A channel shows up here if I've personally watched and tagged at least one of their videos as fitting this. That's a much smaller pool than every fabric video on YouTube — it's shaped by what I've actually gotten around to watching, not a scrape of the whole platform.
What counts as fitting this niche is entirely down to my own judgment in the moment. A video that's a third fabric scratching and two-thirds something else might make the list; another one just like it might not, for no better reason than my mood that day. The tags on each video are the same story — personal, biased, and shaped by whatever I found interesting or useful to note for myself. They're mildly accurate at best. Don't take any of it as a rigorous system.
If a channel you know isn't listed, it's usually one of three things: I've never come across them to begin with, they're sitting in my "to check out" list and I haven't gotten to it yet, or I have watched something of theirs and it just didn't fit — going by my own biased judgment.
